What were your parents doing at your age?
Growing up, my perception of my parents, especially at my age, was a blur of tireless dedication. They were superheroes juggling work, raising three kids (that’s me and my two brothers!), and somehow finding time to cook dinner and put a smile on their faces. The reality, of course, was more nuanced. They navigated challenges, moments of doubt, and probably wished for more sleep, just like I do now.
But what truly resonates is their unwavering commitment to building a better life for us. Sacrifices were made, dreams put on hold, but never forgotten. Their hustle instilled in me a fierce spirit, a drive to chase my own aspirations while cherishing the relationships that matter most.
Reflecting on this journey, I realize that “having it all” doesn’t mean achieving everything at once. It’s about embracing the messy middle, honoring the sacrifices made for us, and carrying that torch forward with unwavering determination.
