Who are your favorite people to be around?

We’ve all heard it said, “It’s not what you have, but who you have that matters.” And there’s truth to that. The people we surround ourselves with have a profound impact on our lives, shaping our experiences, influencing our perspectives, and offering support and encouragement when we need it most.

But who exactly are “your people”?

For me, the answer is a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of family, friends, and, most importantly, myself.

The unwavering love and support of family is a foundation I cherish. Whether it’s the wisdom gleaned from my elders, the laughter shared with siblings, or the shoulder to cry on offered by a parent, their presence is a constant source of strength and comfort.

Friends are the chosen family we create along the way. They’re the ones who celebrate our victories, pick us up when we fall, and challenge us to be better versions of ourselves. Their unique perspectives, shared experiences, and unwavering loyalty create a safe space where we can be authentically ourselves.

But don’t forget the most important person in your life: you. Cultivating a healthy relationship with yourself is essential for true happiness. Embracing your strengths, acknowledging your flaws, and practicing self-compassion sets the stage for genuine connections with others.

Remember, your “tribe” doesn’t have to be a rigid definition. It’s a fluid, dynamic circle that can expand and contract as your life evolves. The key is to intentionally surround yourself with individuals who uplift, inspire, and challenge you to grow.
